Product Job Search: Use AI for Take-Home Tasks

NOV14
07:00

About this event

Searching for a job by yourself is boring, and it sucks.
We can do it together! Join Product Academy’s free weekly job search group, hosted by Dave Wang. This is session 4 of our four follow-up sessions after the kickoff.
What we’ll work on
• Turn a take-home brief into a clear plan. Identify the problem, assumptions, deliverables, and decisions you need to make.
• Use AI to research, structure, and critique your response. Build a practical workflow that saves time while keeping you in charge of the product decisions.
• Present work you can explain and defend. Check the evidence, make your reasoning clear, and follow the task’s rules on AI use.
When
Friday, November 13, 12–1 p.m. Pacific (PST)
Melbourne: Saturday, November 14, 7–8 a.m. AEDT
Who it’s for
Product managers at every level and anyone exploring product roles. Everyone is welcome. We’ll break into smaller groups based on experience and what you want to practise.
How the hour works
5 minutes: check in and share progress
15 minutes: Dave shares practical examples
25 minutes: work together in smaller groups

Becoming an AI-Native Value Architect

Online, Australia · Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) & AI-Native Australia Meetup
Online

Arun Saraswat, AI Methodologist at Scaled Agile, joins the SAFe and AI-Native Australia meetup for the first time. He will talk about becoming an AI-Native Value Architect: the role that coaches AI adoption, connects business with technology, and guides AI work from idea into delivery. If you coach, facilitate and connect business with technology, as an SPC, RTE, Scrum Master, project manager, business analyst or transformation leader, come and see how much of this role you already do. Becoming an AI-Native Value Architect: The Missing Link for Unlocking Real Value from AI Organizations aren't short on AI ambition. They're short on realized value. AI tools sit underused, initiatives stall between business and technology, and promising ideas never make it into production. This session introduces the AI-Native Value Architect, an emerging role that helps organizations turn AI investments into measurable business outcomes by coaching adoption, connecting business and technology, guiding solution development, and continuously optimizing value. If you're an SPC, RTE, Scrum Master, or transformation leader, you already have many of the superpowers this role demands: coaching, facilitation, and value thinking. You'll leave with a practical framework for finding quick wins, realizing more value from existing AI investments, and building the credibility to lead larger transformations. The AI-Native era doesn't replace your superpowers. It amplifies them. Key Takeaways: Understand the emerging role of the AI-Native Value Architect and why it matters. Learn practical techniques for connecting AI initiatives to measurable business outcomes. Discover how to leverage your existing coaching, facilitation, and value-thinking skills to lead AI transformation. Arun Saraswat, AI Methodologist, Scaled Agile, Inc. Sydney Tech Pickleball

House of Pickle - Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia

IMPORTANT - we start at 6:30PM tonight, not 6PM. A relaxed weekly pickleball session for Sydney tech workers to connect, play and sweat a little. We are on courts 5 and 6 and you'll rotate courts and partners. A healthy way to wind up your Tuesday! Many people are beginners and don't know each other yet, so don't worry about that. If you have any questions, just message the WhatsApp group. Logistics Get your tickets via Luma. You can buy for yourself and your friends too. All paddles and balls are provided. There are showers available at ICC, in the carpark level. Cancellations You can cancel within 24 hours of the event - you'll get a credit to attend a future session. Send a WhatsApp message to Tim to cancel. If it's very wet, we'll cancel it and you'll get a credit for a future session - we'll notify this through Luma via email and also our WhatsApp group. We'll make this call on the morning. Pickleball Basic Rules & Scoring Before your first time playing, please check out this 5-min video which covers the basic rules and scoring: https://youtu.be/pDDwZgepQeE We'll use traditional scoring rules with games up to 11 (you need to win by 2 points). Beginner Tips Don't worry about looking silly - everyone does at the beginning. Before you serve, make sure you say the score, otherwise you will quickly lose track of it. Try to notice your most common mistake to improve that. Try to get to the kitchen line quickly - don't hang back at the base line like tennis. The serve has to be under arm 'in an upward arc' - so no downward slicing, tennis style serve or side arms. The rule everyone forgets is that the ball has to land once on each side (two-bounce rule) before you can start volleying - so remember 'Serve and Stay' and 'Return and Run'. General Etiquette It's just a social game for a bit of fun, so let's keep it friendly. After each game ends, change it up - e.g. swap your partner, swap courts etc. If anyone is waiting to play, they get priority to play the next game.
