Lab visit at University of Cph. The Mathematics Behind the Quantum Revolution

SEP22
14:00 · Europe / Copenhagen

About this event

Join researchers from the QMATH Centre at the University of Copenhagen for an interactive exploration of quantum science and its emerging applications in finance. Through a series of thematic stands, participants will engage directly with researchers and explore current projects, emerging technologies, and real-world use cases with relevance for the financial sector.
Hosted by Associate Professor Daniel Stilck França, the event offers a unique opportunity to discuss how advances in quantum computing, quantum algorithms, optimisation, and information theory may shape the future of areas such as risk modelling, portfolio optimisation, and complex data analysis. Rather than a traditional lecture, the session is designed as an open and informal showcase where attendees can move between stands, ask questions, and engage in conversation with researchers.
The QMATH Centre at the University of Copenhagen is one of Europe's leading research environments in the mathematics of quantum theory, bringing together expertise from mathematics, physics, and computer science to advance our understanding of quantum systems and their technological potential.
This event is part of the UCPH Fintech Futures Programme, the University of Copenhagen's platform for connecting researchers, innovators, students, startups, and industry partners around the future of finance and technology. The programme forms the foundation for the University's activities during Nordic Fintech Week.
