INLAND STORIES (Giulia Parisi)

Auditorium Parco della Musica, Rome, Italy
In person

Inland Stories emerges from a sustained practice of invisibility. For the artist, authentic observation demands an intentional withdrawal from the viewer’s gaze, establishing a space of trust where the subject forgets they are watched. Upon this transparency, the written word takes root to execute a second act of disappearance: it erases the factual history of the portrayed subjects and objects, bestowing upon them an imagined life. Rooted in the artist's childhood, this practice stems from a foundational question: if the known identity no longer inhabits a body or place, who occupies that space? Should the manifest Self recede, what desires, passions, urges, or deviations might the submerged, fictional Other enact through that presence? Ultimately, Inland Stories investigates the plurality of selfhood and the vertigo of shifting perspectives, turning observation into a continuous process of rebuilding both Self and Other. Giulia Parisi (b. 1992, Rome) is a Basel-based artist raised between Italy and Cuba. Her upbringing across these opposite worlds shapes a background that exists fluidly between future and past. Navigating a dual cultural matrix, she developed an early ability to shift between identities depending on the language spoken and the facets of the Self being engaged. Working primarily at the intersection of photography and writing, her practice explores the nature of selfhood, who one might become, and how multiple identities can inhabit a single body. It addresses the challenge of stepping outside oneself while remaining who we are: a continuous process of dissolution and self-reinvention. NAKED (Maria Gaia Marotta)

Auditorium Parco della Musica, Rome, Italy
In person

The project portrays the vulnerability of the viewer while watching a film, when every defence comes down. A cinema full of undressed people, and a nudity that is not erotic but emotional and symbolic. A pop, choral image, where the contrast between the everyday and exposure represents being "naked" in front of a story. A photographer and visual artist born in Rome, she trained at IED and has international experience as an Art Director in London. Her work explores human relationships, identity and the tensions of everyday life, through narrative, real and cinematic images. Inspired by photography, cinema and literature, she develops personal, editorial and advertising projects that combine atmosphere, authenticity and imagination. POISED BETWEEN FORMS (MANI)

Auditorium Parco della Musica, Rome, Italy
In person

Poised Between Forms brings together works made between 2025 and 2026, deliberately distant in language, technique and image construction, yet connected by the search for the same painterly gesture: soft, curved, recurring. MANI explores and transforms this movement through different materials and pictorial settings, so that it takes on new forms and meanings each time. In the exhibition, it is this very repetition that becomes the thread linking seemingly distant works. The gesture, together with painting, becomes the protagonist of the show. Colours, forms and marks enter into a relationship of attraction and resistance. The viewer stands at the centre of a pictorial language that at first glance does not seem unified, but gradually reveals a common origin: the repetition of a specific gesture, expressed differently each time. Brought together in the same space, the works respond to and change one another, inevitably transforming the way each one is seen. MANI, the artist name of Lorena Tiberi (Rome, 1997), is a visual artist whose work spans painting, sculpture and performance, centred on the relationship between body, gesture and material. Exhibiting since 2015, she has shown her work in Italy and abroad, across Rome, Berlin, Florence, Mexico City, Milan and Porto Ercole, at venues including Soho House Rome, ADI Design Museum, Forte Stella, Polveriera Guzman and SUarte Gallery. In 2024 she took part in Roma Arte in Nuvola, represented by Maison Bosi Gallery. Over the years her work has drawn the attention of Vogue Italia, Inside Art Magazine and Musei di Roma, and Rai Documentari has featured it in a documentary dedicated to her practice. In 2026 Inside Art also took an in-depth look at her most recent work and the central role gesture plays in her artistic process. Residencies at Studio Casoli in Filicudi and Luisa Catucci Gallery in Berlin have shaped the evolution of a constantly changing practice, in which gesture becomes material, trace and memory of the a
