LOVELY DAY
Most people walk past a vintage jacket, a handmade ceramic planter, or an Art Deco building without realising the hundreds of decisions, stories and people behind them.
Today, we'll see the city differently.
Hipódromo Condesa wasn't always one of Mexico City's coolest neighbourhoods.
Built in the 1920s on the grounds of the former horse racing track, its curved streets still follow the shape of the original oval. Elegant Art Deco buildings, leafy roundabouts, hidden courtyards and creative businesses gradually transformed the area into one of the city's most iconic cultural neighbourhoods.
For decades, artists, architects, designers, entrepreneurs, photographers and curious minds have called it home.
Some came looking for inspiration.
Some built businesses.
Some simply never left.
This time, we'll experience it slowly.
We'll begin with coffee and introductions before discovering how a successful vintage fashion business was built, from sourcing one-of-a-kind pieces around the world to the logistics of bringing them to Mexico.
Fashion is far more than clothing; it's history, sustainability, culture and business.
From there, we'll stroll through the beautiful streets of Hipódromo Condesa to one of the city's most unique interior design spaces, where we'll discover plants and handcrafted Mexican planters from different regions of the country whilst enjoying speciality coffee in a beautiful creative setting.
Along the way we'll stop at an independent gallery, admire the neighbourhood's Art Deco architecture and uncover the creative spaces that make Hipódromo Condesa unlike anywhere else in the city.
We'll finish with an open-ended networking gathering at one of Mexico City's newest and hottest venues.
No rush.
No pressure.
Just conversations, creativity, design, architecture, history and the city d
