GTM Engineering

AUG5
18:00
  • This event explains a complete go-to-market engineering framework for product founders, engineers, and designers who have shipped something and want to reach customers.
  • Attendees learn the phases of launch, grow, optimize, and how to measure and model funnels properly.
  • It prepares participants for a follow-up hackathon where they launch their product live.

About this event

Session one is the roadmap. We walk the full GTM engineering framework end to end so that when September's positioning session comes around, or October's site build, you already know what job that piece is doing and what it feeds - and how it lands at a launch on Oct 16. Presentation format: sit and watch, or open a laptop and map your own product as we go.

WHAT WE COVER
\- The three acts\. Launch\, Grow\, Optimize \- what each phase is actually for\, and the failure mode of skipping straight to the third\.
\- Funnel modeling\. Measuring every stage rather than the last one\. Where the numbers come from and which ones lie to you\.
\- GTM engineering vs marketing\. Programmatic SEO\, automated attribution and community distribution\, versus buying ads and hiring salespeople\.
\- B2C and B2B\, side by side\. Nearly every framework splits here\. You get both\, and the next two sessions go deep on each\.
\- Program mechanics\. The open\-source repo\, the skill files\, and how the hackathon weekend works\. Fifteen minutes\, then it's out of the way\.

YOU LEAVE WITH
The full framework, and a clear picture of what a roadmap to October looks like.

BRING
Nothing. Show up and watch. If you want to follow along, bring a laptop and whatever you're currently building - even if it's an idea in a notes app.

WHO IT IS FOR
Technical founders, engineers, designers and indie builders who have shipped something and want it in front of customers. Free, and open to anyone - you do not have to attend the whole series to come to one.

THIS BUILDS UP TO THE HACKATHON
Session 01 of 6. The series runs every other Wednesday from Aug 5 to Oct 14, and every session is a piece of the same thing: by October you have positioning, a site, a channel and the numbers to read it. Then on Oct 16-18 we run Zero to Launch, a hackathon where you do not build - you launch. Whatever state your product is in on the Friday, you close it out, put it in front of people, and show what happened on the Sunday.
