Miami | Claude Community x uStart (University Of Miami)

Coral Gables, FL, Coral Gables, United States

Join a Claude Event for University of Miami students! Claude for Students @ The 🙌🏽 Tuesday, October 20 · 6:00PM · University of Miami You're graduating into a job market that's rewriting itself while you're still in it. Nobody's handing you a syllabus for that. So let's talk about it honestly. This is a session for UM students only — every major, every year — on what AI actually means for the career you're about to start. Not the hype version. Not the doom version. The version from someone building with this technology every day. What we'll cover: What's genuinely changing in entry-level work right now, and what isn't The difference between using AI and building with it — and why that gap decides who gets hired How Claude fits into coursework, research, and real projects, plus where it falls short What skills hold their value when the tools keep moving Then the part that matters more: your questions. I'd rather spend half this session answering what's actually on your mind than talking at you. Come with the real question — the one about your major, your internship search, your thesis, the thing you're quietly worried about. That's the whole point. Who this is for: Every major. CS, business, bio, law, comm, art, nursing. If you've never touched a line of code, you're exactly who this is for. The people whose work AI changes most are rarely the ones in the room when it's discussed. Let's fix that here. No laptop required. Just show up. Hosted by Justin Elliott, Co-Founder & CTO of WRTH and an Anthropic Community Ambassador based in Miami. Over the past year he's run Claude Conversations and Impact Labs across Miami, New York, and San Francisco — sessions built on one idea: the people most affected by this technology should be the ones shaping it. This is an official Claude Community event organized for University of Miami undergraduate and graduate students only. Free to attend, RSVP required. Go 'Canes! 🙌🏽
