Welcome to WSTI's AI Project Hub—the hands-on heart of the WSTI community's AI Shed model. This isn't a traditional class or a lecture. It’s a weekly, drop-in "Shed" designed for collaborative, project-based learning, where we support each other turning ideas (beginner or ambitious) into real, working prototypes and projects. Whether you're a founder with a specific problem, a developer testing a new tool, or a complete beginner curious about what you can make, this is your space to build, learn, and collaborate. What to expect: Quick Pitch: To spark some inspiration, we’ll have a few informal, low-pressure "progress check-ins" where attendees can briefly share what they’re working on. Space to Build: No formal lectures here. Just a supportive environment to polish your prototype, refine your code, or finalise your pitch. Guides on the Side: Our technical mentors will be mingling in the room. They’re ready to offer a helpful nudge, architectural advice, or a tool recommendation if you hit a roadblock. Community Wisdom: If our mentors don’t have the answer, they’ll connect you with someone else in the room who does. We’re all about sharing what we learn. Curiosity is Welcome: You don’t need a hackathon project to pull up a chair. If you’re a regular from our Project Hub looking to share your knowledge, or just a curious neighbour. We have community laptops with access to some AI tools if you aren't able to bring your own. Tools/Topics discussed may include: ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, Opensource AI Models. Platforms like n8n and other automation tools. Coding vibe coding like Lovable, Replit, Antigravity and Cursor. Frameworks such as BMAD. Image and video generators like Midjourney, Nanobanana and Video models such as Kling, Veo & Seedance. By attending this event, you consent that you may be photographed and recorded on video. Global - Databricks: Build a Practical Data Foundation for AI

Learn how to turn scattered data into reusable “bricks” for AI apps, dashboards, agents, and automation workflows. This live Mojo AI Studio class is for builders who want practical data architecture without enterprise fog. In this live Mojo AI Studio session, Scott will walk through the idea of Data Bricks: small, practical, reusable data components that can support AI apps, agents, dashboards, automations, and business workflows. We will look at how to think about data as building material: what to collect, how to structure it, how to clean it, how to preserve context, and how to make it useful for downstream AI systems. The goal is not to memorize a platform or chase buzzwords. The goal is to understand how real AI products need data to be shaped before they become reliable.

AI Automation for Working Professionals: Advanced

EventIn person

Single-task AI is useful. Multi-agent AI is transformative. Tonight you'll build systems where Claude orchestrates a team of specialised subagents, each handling a part of a complex job simultaneously, while you watch it happen. Then you'll wire those agents into automated routines that run on a schedule, silently, without your input. This is the session where the full capability of what you've been building becomes visible. What You'll Do Assign a complex, multi-part job to a team of subagents working simultaneously, done in an evening instead of days. Build background automations for the tasks you'd rather never touch again, so they just happen. Chain skills, tools, and scheduling into one self-sustaining routine: set it once, forget it. Leave with a clear picture of what's possible, and a working prototype to prove it. What You'll Learn Break a larger job into steps an AI assistant can handle. Use subagents and structured workflows. Assign a complex, multi-part job to a team of AI agents. Build small automations for tasks you do often. Combine skills, tools and scheduling into practical routines. Spot where agentic AI can save serious time in your work. Understand how to move from single prompts to multi-step AI systems. You'll Walk Out With A clearer understanding of AI agents and delegation. A working example of a multi-step AI workflow. Ideas for applying AI to your job, business or side project. An assistant concept that can run whole jobs, not just answer questions. A stronger sense of what to build next. Who This Is For Professionals ready to use AI beyond simple prompts. Founders and operators who want to automate parts of their workflow. Freelancers and consultants who want to build smarter delivery systems. People who want AI to manage repeatable jobs while they focus on higher-value work. Anyone with intermediate Claude Code or AI experience who wants to go deeper. Earlier nights are recommended, but not mandatory. If you a
